When do admissions open?
For the 2025/2026 Academic Year, most universities will likely open their portals immediately after WASSCE results are released (typically December 2025 or January 2026).
- Public Universities: Usually sell forms from Jan–April.
- Private Universities: Often have rolling admissions (you can apply almost year-round), but it’s best to apply early for scholarships.
How do I apply?
Gone are the days of manual forms. It is almost entirely digital now.
- Buy an E-Voucher: Go to a bank (GCB, Ecobank, Zenith, CBG etc.) or use USSD codes (e.g.,
*887*9#) provided by the university. - Go Online: Use the serial number and PIN from the voucher to log into the university’s admission portal.
- Fill the Data: Enter your WASSCE Index Number carefully. The system will often pull your results automatically from WAEC once they are ready.
